Kentucky Mayors Join Bloomberg Banfest

Former NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg tried to start a coalition of mayors across the country to join in his Mayor’s Against Illegal Guns groups. Yes this is the same mayor who banned cars in Times Square, loud headphones, organic food waste from landfills, black roofs on buildings, and sodas larger than 16 oz.

So why should we in Kentucky care about what an ultra liberal ex-mayor from New York tries to do? Well currently there are 7 mayors from Kentucky listed on the website who have signed on to his gun control grab.

Just one of the things Bloomberg’s group proposes is implementing background checks on private gun sales. A second issue the group is pushing against is gun trafficking. It is ironic that we didn’t hear Bloomberg beating his war drum against Attorney General Eric Holder and his Fast and Furious program that let guns we aren’t allowed to even purchase flow freely into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Where was Bloomberg when Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by one of the very guns the Department of Justice put into the hands of known criminals?

A couple of these mayors are not seeking reelection, but many are. Let them know you won’t stand for anyone grabbing your Big Gulp soda let alone your 2nd Amendment Rights.
